Two sites are currently under consideration for a replacement airport.
Site 10A in southern Blaine County is the replacement airport site formally preferred by the Friedman Memorial Airport Authority (FMAA) Board.
The site was evaluated along with numerous other potential replacement airport sites in a 2006 Site Selection Study. By a vote of the 25 community stakeholders who participated in that study, Site 10A was recommended to the FMAA Board.
